About Us
The Westbrook Garden Club is celebrating its 68th year and we hope you will “Come Grow with Us”. As a member of the Federated Garden Club of Connecticut we are a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Our mission is to promote interest, understanding, and education in gardening, horticulture and design, to strengthen our environmental responsibility, to support the ongoing study of related garden topics, and to beautify our town.
New this year:
A colonial garden has been established at the Westbrook Historical Society's Bushnell house. Our committed members designed, installed, and currently maintain this garden.
What we do:

Enhance Westbrook with 40 planters and window boxes in the town center. The funds from the May Market and Fall Mum Sale aid in plant purchases. Our team cares for the planters year-round, including wintertime additions of greens. |

Attend to our pollinator friendly project, Meadow Walk, at the Tom ODell Memorial Open Space. This project earned the 2022 National Garden Club Award for Roadside Plantings and the 2021 FGCCT President’s Award for an outstanding project |

Promote community education through public programs on gardening, horticulture and flower design, and environmental and legislative issues. |
Award an annual scholarship to a deserving high school graduate or matriculating student. |
